4.v Content Editor – Banner

The large banner area across the top of your website’s homepage is for displaying images of your products to entice your customers. To edit this area, simply hover over the banner to reveal for key options: Edit Banner, Add New Banner, Delete Banner and Manage Banner.

4.v.i Edit Banner

When you click on ‘Edit Banner’ you will be taken to this screen. This will allow you to edit the banner in terms of position, zoom, rotation, text, link and whether this banner is active or just a draft. Once you have made your changes click save to apply.

4.v.ii Add New Banner

Clicking on ‘Add New Banner’ will take you to this screen, it will allow you to upload a file and make any needed changes like the ‘Edit Banner’ screen. To apply changes, simply click save.

4.v.iii Delete Banner

One of the four banner options is to delete the entire banner, your browser will display a prompt box that you will have to click on to ensure you want to delete the banner. If you do, simply click yes; if you do not you can just press cancel and your banner will still be available. Tip: to prevent yourself from repeating work, if you want to take a banner down but you may want to use it in the future, simply un-click the ‘active’ box on step 4.v.i and this will save it as a draft.

4.v.iv Manage Banners

By clicking on the ‘Manage Banners’ button, you will generate a full list of all banners which includes both live banners and draft banners. (you will be able to see this from the status of the active box – ticked active boxes are live and unticked active boxes are drafts). On this list you can easily delete banners and to save all changes, simply click done.
