5.iii Products – Categories: Add New Product

Adding a new product to your list can be done manually by clicking on the ‘Add New Product’ button which is shown in the picture above. 

The create a new product page has various fields for you to fill out which will make up the product listing on your website. For example, product name, cost, code, brand, personalisation, stock levels, etc. There are also several other pages of information for you to fill out which will allow you to determine where the product will sit on your site, its specifications, advanced options, attach any videos or files and relate it to other products. 

Most of these fields that require input will have a question mark icon, if you hover over this icon it will display a text box with information with will aid you in this process. Once you are finished, you either click save and return to list or you click save and create another product. 

5.iii.i Add New Product Group

To add a new product group, simply click on the blue ‘New Product Group’ button on the product list page. This will direct you to the ‘Create New Product Group’ page, where you can name the product group and give it an active status. To add products into this category you have to save it first and you can do this by using one of the two save buttons at the bottom of the screen. (See picture below)
