On the gallery categories page of the gallery section in your dashboard, you have the ability to manage the categories for your gallery images. You can Edit, Add Sub Category, view Images and Delete each category in the main list.
To edit a category in the main list, simply click on the green ‘Edit’ button, which will allow you to edit the name, edit the description and edit the featured image. You can also change the status of the category by clicking on the tickbox to state active or inactive. Once you have finished your edit, simply click on the blue ‘Save Category’ button and your edit will be updated in the main list. If you do not wish to save the edit you have made, simply click on the grey ‘Cancel’ button and you will return to the main list.
Once you have clicked on the green ‘Add Sub Category’ button, you will need to fill in the required information such as Category Name, Description and upload the Featured Image. You will then be able to decide if this category is active or inactive and once you are finished you click ‘Save Category’ to add this new subcategory to the main list. For example, if you had a gallery category named ‘All Pictures’, you might then want to split this into separate colours for ease of access so one of your subcategories would be named ‘Blue’, the next named ‘Red’ and so on.
To create a new gallery category, click on the blue ‘Create Gallery Category’ button att he top right of your screen and again, similar to step 9.i.ii you will be required to enter the required information displayed in the picture above. Once you have finished, simply click Save Category and this new gallery category will be added to the main list.
